El próximo sábado 3 de Mayo 2014, la playa de s´Arenal en Sant Antoni de Portmany, acogerá el 3º Campeonato de Rugby Playa “IBIZA BEACH RUGBY FESTIVAL”, organizado por el Ibiza Club de Rugby y Ibiza Sports Tours, con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Sant Antoni, y que supondrá la tercera cita en lo que es ya un evento anual de esta atractiva modalidad del balón ovalado.
El verano y las altas temperaturas suelen sacar de sus madrigueras deportes que son casi imposibles de ver en los fríos meses de invierno. Vóley playa, windsurf y las típicas palas de playa invaden las arenas ibicencas durante la época estival aprovechando el buen clima y esos grados de más en el termómetro. En mayo de 2014 la playa de s´Arenal será el escenario de un nuevo e inesperado invitado, el rugby playa.
El torneo de 2014 tendrá 10 equipos masculinos, 8 equipos femeninos y 8 equipos veteranos, reservar vuestro sitio en la playa ya que hay plazas limitadas!

The 3rd of May 2014 is the date set for the third editon of the Ibiza Beach Rugby Festival.
With a great number of teams and literally hundreds of people watching from the sidelines on the promenade, last years event was a total success. 2014´s competition, falls on the first Saturday of May (UK bank holiday weekend).
The weekend will be organized by Ibiza Sports Tours and Ibiza Club de Rugby with the help of San Antonio council and promises to one of the biggest events on Ibiza´s Summer calendar with Mens senior and Veteran teams along with a Ladies event all playing on the same beach, it´s a good job that the ¨Med¨ is just a few steps away to cool off!
S´Arenal beach is 650m of Golden Sand and 300m from the centre of San Antonio and is right in front of the legendery clubs of the town ¨Es Paradis¨ and ¨Eden¨.
There´s no better way for rugby enthusiasts to get a tan than watching or playing beach rugby plus we have a tent with DJ´s and live music throughout the day, this is one weekend you won´t want to miss out on!
